What This Privacy Policy Covers

This Privacy Policy describes Ligent Inc. (“we,” “us,” or “our”) practices in connection with our business-to-business related services (the “B2B Services”) offered in the United States only. If you are located outside of the United States and seeking services from us within the United States, please review below, Section V Transfers and Storage of Personal Information. If you are a job applicant, this Privacy Policy also applies to you.

By using our B2B Services, you agree to the terms of this Privacy Policy. This privacy policy describes how we collect and use your information in connection with our B2B Services and our website, apps, blogs and social media platforms (collectively, “Sites”). By using the Company B2B Services and our Sites, you agree to the terms and conditions of this Privacy Policy.

California residents who are business consumers acting as employees, owners, directors, officers or independent contractors of an entity conducting due diligence or providing or receiving a product or service from us (“CA B2B Contacts”), Section I of this Policy below, which describes our collection and use of information practices through our Services, also serves as our Notice at Collection for California residents for purposes of the California Consumer Privacy Act (“CCPA”). The remainder of this Policy also is applicable to CA B2B Contacts as well.

Personal Information that is a matter of public record, collected from employees of ours, or collected when you click on a third party link found on our website, or when you use social media widgets we provide on this Site are not covered by this Privacy Policy.

I. Personal Information We Collect and How We Use It

The table below and additional paragraphs immediately following the table are a summary of the categories of Personal Information we have collected over at least the last 12 months, the purposes for collection and use of that Personal Information, and how long we keep each category of Personal Information.

Inferences drawn from Personal Identifiers, Demographic Information, Device, Internet, and Network Activity, Online Identifiers, and General Location to create a profile about youWe do not sell or share Inferences we make about you with third parties for targeted advertising.  We use the Inferences we draw from your activities on our website to personalize your experience with us on our Site and through email communications.

  • to assist us in fraud prevention or investigation, all on the basis of our legitimate interest in the continuation of our commercial activities and the protection of our rights.


Retention. We retain your Personal Information for at least as long as it is necessary to fulfill the purposes for which we collected it, to provide you with our B2B Services, to comply with our retention obligations, and to successfully run our business.

II. Sources of Personal Information

Directly from You. For example, when you:

  • Upload a document,
  • Use a Site feature,
  • Email us, or
  • Speak to us by phone.

Automatically through Cookies and Similar Technologies. For example, when you

  • Visit and navigate our B2B Services on any device,
  • Enable location-based features on our B2B Services, or
  • Click on third party links on our Sites.

Service Providers and Contractors. For example, we work with service providers and contractors who collect Personal Information on our behalf in order to provide B2B Services to us, such as:

  • Manage, improve, and host our B2B Services through business studies, marketing campaigns and IT development and support,

  • Authenticate payments and process orders and payments, or
  • Provide fulfilment of our B2B Services.

Affiliates and Subsidiaries. For example, if we acquire an ownership interest in a company, we may receive information about you as part of that acquisition if you have previously done business with them.

Publicly/Commercially Available. For example, we collect:

  • Information in the public domain,
  • Data available in open government databases to help us with fraud monitoring and prevention, compliance with applicable law and regulations, reviewing and processing your employment application and other information, or
  • As otherwise permitted by law.

III. Disclosures of Personal Information

We may disclose your Personal Information described above as follows:

Internally. We disclose all categories of Personal Information listed above with other affiliated businesses who jointly use Personal Information for the purposes described in this Privacy Policy, where this is acceptable under applicable law.

A Business That Acquires Us or Our Assets, in a Business Transfer. If another party acquires all or substantially all of our assets, all categories of Personal Information listed above and any other information that we have collected in connection with the Services, will be transferred to that party as part of our business assets. Also, if any bankruptcy or reorganization proceeding is brought by or against us, all such information will be considered part of our assets that can be sold or transferred to third parties.

Government Authorities, Legal Rights and Actions. We will disclose all categories of Personal Information listed above with various government agencies if required or requested to do so by law or if we believe such action is necessary or advisable in order to:  (1) conform to the requirements of the law or comply with valid legal process served upon us; (2) protect or defend our legal rights or property, the Services, or our customers or users; (3) investigate, prevent, or take action regarding illegal activities, suspected fraud, situations involving potential threats to the physical safety of any person, or violations of our Terms of Use; and/or (4) any other reason in our sole discretion. We may also use IP address or other Device, Internet and Network Activity Information, Online Identifiers to identify users, and may do so in cooperation with copyright owners, internet service providers, wireless service providers or law enforcement agencies in our discretion. Such disclosures may be carried out without notice to you.

Third Parties. With your consent (or where you do not decline when permitted by law), we disclose Device, Internet and Network Activity Information, and Online Identifiers to third parties, such as our advertising and marketing partners, media partners and platforms, data analytics providers, social networks.

Service Providers and Contractors. We disclose all categories of Personal Information listed above with Service Providers and Contractors to perform services on our behalf, such as payment processing, email marketing, website analytics, marketing and promotions, advertising technology services, cloud data storage, technology support, and customer service. These Service Providers and Contractors will access all categories of Personal Information as necessary for them to perform their duties. For example, we will share bank details and payment card information with payment processors when you provide a payment card in connection with a purchase. When we share Personal Information with Service Providers and Contractors our contracts prohibit them from using or sharing your Personal Information for any reason except to assist us in operating our business and providing Services to you.

Facilitating Requests from You. We disclose all of the categories of Personal Information listed above at your request or direction.

Consent. We disclose all of the categories of Personal Information listed above if we have let you know what information will be shared, with whom, and obtained your consent.

IV. Security of Personal Information

We take reasonable and feasible security measures in compliance with industrial code of conduct to protect your personal information and prevent unauthorized access, modification, damage or loss of personal information. To this end, we have taken the following measures:

  1. We take all reasonable and practicable measures to ensure that the collection of personal information is minimized and that we do not collect personal information that is not relevant to the achievement of purpose. We will only retain your personal information for as long as necessary to achieve the purposes stated in this statement, unless it is necessary to extend the retention period and is permitted by law;
  2. We will use encryption technology to ensure the confidentiality of data transmission and storage. We use trusted protection mechanisms to protect data and the servers storing the data from malicious attacks;
  3. We will deploy access control mechanisms to ensure that only authorized personnel can access to personal information; And control the quantity of authorized personnel and achieve hierarchical authority management for authorized personnel according to the business needs and personnel hierarchy; Access to personal information is logged and regularly audited by an administrator;
  4. We will strictly select business partners and service providers, and implement the requirements on personal information protection in the business contract or audit, assessment and other activities of the two parties;
  5. We will organize security and privacy protection training courses, tests and publicity activities to enhance employees' awareness of the importance of protecting personal information.

We do our best to protect your personal information. However, regardless of our measures and efforts to protect Personal Information, we cannot guarantee absolute protection and security of your Personal Information. If you believe you have discovered a security vulnerability in our B2B Services or Sites, please email us at mediarelations@ligent.com and include in the subject line “Security Concern.” If you believe that someone has accessed your personal information or that your personal information has been misused, please email us at mediarelations@ligent.com immediately and include in the subject line “Unauthorized Access.

V. Transfers and Storage of Personal Information

If you reside in a country other than the United States of America, you should be aware that the data that we collect from you will be transferred to and stored in the United States, and if you give us your Personal Information, you give us your express consent to the transfer. The laws of the United States may not protect the privacy of your information at the same level as provided by the laws of your country.

VI. Cookie Notice

Our Services collect Device, Internet and Network Activity Information, Online Identifiers about you through the use of cookies and other tracking technologies placed by us and third parties (collectively, “Cookies”).

A “cookie” is a tiny file that is stored on your device (e.g., your computer or mobile device). It contains a unique identifier, as well as the address and other information about the site you are visiting. Some cookies are essential in order to enable you to move around our Services, visit our Site and use its features. VIII. CA B2B Contacts – Your Rights and Choices in California

If you are a CA B2B Contact, you have the following rights regarding your Personal Information (subject to certain exemptions):

Right to Know & AccessYou have the right, up to two times every 12 months, to ask us to disclose the categories of Personal Information we have collected about you, the categories of sources from which we collected it, our business or commercial purpose for collecting, selling, or sharing Personal Information about you, the categories of Personal Information we sold or disclosed, the categories of third parties to whom we have shared Personal Information about you, and the specific pieces of Personal Information we collected about you. You have the right to request a portable copy of your Personal Information. In some states, you also have the right to receive a list of the specific third parties with whom we might share your Personal Information.
Right to Correct and DeleteYou have the right to send us a request to correct or delete Personal Information we have about you, subject to certain exceptions allowed under applicable law.
Right to Opt-Out of the Sale and Sharing of Your Personal Information (Opt-out of Targeted Advertising)

You have the right to request that we not sell or share for targeted behavioral advertising, your Personal Information.

Right to Send Opt-out Preference Signals; Global Privacy Control

We also honor the Global Privacy Control, a browser-based opt-out signal. We do not respond to other browser-based signals.

This opt-out method only applies to the category of Device, Internet and Network Activity Information, Online Identifiers and only for the device or browser which sends the opt-out preference signal.

We do not associate the opt-out preference signal with your other Personal Information, which may include your name, email and phone number.

Right To Not Be DiscriminatedYou have the right not to be discriminated against if you exercise any of these rights, for example by receiving a different quality of services.
Rights related to Automatic Decision Making (ADM)You have the right to opt out of profiling in furtherance of decisions with legal or significant effects using ADM, the right to access meaningful information about ADM logic, and request human review of any decision made using ADM.
Right To AppealIn California as a CA B2B Contact, you have a right to appeal decisions concerning your ability to exercise your consumer rights.


Authorized Agent. Applicable law may permit you the right to appoint an authorized agent to exercise these rights for you. Under certain applicable laws, an authorized agent is a natural person or a business entity in the applicable state that a person has authorized to act on their behalf subject to the requirements. If you would like to designate an authorized agent to submit a request to know, a request to delete, or a request to correct Personal Information on your behalf, please e-mail us at mediarelations@ligent.com. When submitting the request, please ensure the authorized agent identifies himself/herself/themselves as an authorized agent. We will require written proof of the agent’s permission to do so and we will need to verify your identity directly. Once verified, your authorized agent may act on your behalf.

In order to respond to your request, we may validate your email address if you have an account with us. If you use an authorized agent to exercise rights for you, we will confirm that the agent is authorized by you.How to Submit a Request.

When you make a request to access, correct, or delete your information, we will generally confirm receipt of your request within 10 days, and respond within 45 days, though in some cases we have the right to take additional time if needed. We will provide notice of the extension within the first 45-day period.

How We Verify Your Identity. We will take reasonable steps to verify your identity prior to responding to your requests. For example, we may utilize third party verification steps which may vary depending on the sensitivity of the Personal Information and whether you have an account with us.

Financial Incentives. We do not offer financial incentives.

Children Under 18. Our services are not available to persons under the age of 18. Children may not use the Website for any purpose unless their parents or guardians has provided consent. We refer to children as users under the age of 18. We do not deliberately collect personal information from children for any purpose. If you believe that we have personal information about a child without the consent of his/her parent/guardian, or if you are a parent or guardian of the user and wish to withdraw your consent, please contact us through the contact information below, and we will delete such information.

IX. Links to Other Websites, Content, and Resources

When you use the Services, you may sometimes be directed by links or other means to third-party websites and services that are not affiliated with the Websites or with us. When you go to unrelated websites or services, please note that we do not control their privacy and security. They may send their own cookies or other tracking technology to visitors or solicit and use your information in different ways than those described in this Privacy Policy. We cannot provide you with any information about third-party practices or the information collected or used by third-party websites or resources. X. Update Privacy Policy

Our Privacy Policy is subject to change. We will not reduce your rights under the Privacy Policy without your express consent. If we materially change the ways in which we use or disclose personal information previously collected from you through our websites, we will attempt to notify you through our websites, by email or by other reasonable means. Any changes to this Privacy Policy will become effective upon posting of the revised Policy on the Internet, accessible through our Sites.
